Earlier this evening I was able to attend my niece's Christmas presentation. Much to my anticipation in seeing my niece sing with the choir, I got very disappointed over the whole situation. During the entire production, I hadn't had the chance to catch a glimpse of my niece, even the tip of her hair. I was disgusted. Typical Filipino culture. The whole room was full of Filipino parents, uncles, aunts, lolas, lolos, everyone...and when it was time for their kids to sing, ughhhhhh...All of them stashed themselves in front, I mean all of them, taking picture of every move of their kids. Last Friday, we had a Christmas presentation at my school but even though the room was full of people too, none, I mean none, zero, stood up in front and tried to get a picture of their kids singing. Everyone was able to enjoy the whole production until the end...but today...ughhhhh...never mind. I am upset ashamed.  By the way, my school is a British International School and I salute their discipline.
By the time when we arrive home, my niece, Ploy, asked me if I was able to see her sing in the choir. I pitied the kid. I sure wished I had the chance to see her sing but I just hadn't had the habit of joining the wrong crowd. I sure wish things would change next year.
