Saying It Before It's Too Late. I love you Tatay and Nanay!!!

As I was reading the Chicken Soup book this morning during P.E. class, tears ran down my eyes. The short story was about a dad who died of alcoholism because he lost his son to an acute appendicitis while he was young and his wife left him during that time. He was left with his younger son. The dad's name was Al. To summarize the story, the younger son grew up and had a family of his own. The writer of this story was puzzled because this young son turned out to be a great dad to his children and a loving husband. He asked this man, " I am confused. You almost grew up with a drunkard father but why did you turn out to be this great with your family." This man answered the writer of this story, " Oh you are so wrong about my father. While he was alive, he made it a point to come into my room everyday, kissed and hugged me, and told me he loves me very much." The writer upon hearing this just cried. And I cried too after reading this story. It made me think about my father too and my mom. I know they love me so much and I believe I am who I am right now is because of them. How I wish I could tell it on their faces right now how much I love them and thank them. I miss them. To Nanay and Tatay, thanks for everything you have done for us. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
